Last week, House Republicans amended the state budget bill, House Bill 1485, by adding an additional $100 million to basic education funding, $100 million to the Accountability Block Grant Program and an additional $43 million for school employees Social Security payments.
The bill is expected to be considered by the full House on May 23.
