KEYTA meets with nationwide groups of independent, non-union, education associations
on a regular basis. Together, we seek to foster the sharing and development of ideas
and resources that assist us in achieving our purposes and goals.
Through this national coalition, KEYTA is able to team up with groups like the Association of Texas Professional Educators, serving well over 100,000 members, and the Missouri
State Teachers Association, the oldest state teachers association in the nation
at 150 years . In addition to these giants, two other more recent independent groups,
PAGE of Georgia and MPE of Mississippi have become the largest teachers groups in
their respective states. Other sister states include Virginia, West Virginia, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma,
Kansas, Iowa, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
(If you know of a professional educator in any of these states, please have them
call 1-877-33KEYTA, and we will put them in touch with a key leader in that organization.)
